You may inexpensively purchase any of the artworks in this website as a reproduction print. These are not original artworks but digital printouts of a scan or photo of my original artwork. See the table below for pricing.
All giclees are inkjet printouts usually printed out on fine art paper with inks that have a longer lightfastness than ordinary inkjet inks. This requires specialized equipment and materials are more expensive so it cost a bit more than an ordinary photocopy but it will last considerably longer with less fade than regular inkjet. For computer artists and many photographers a giclee is the only way they can sell a tangible copy of their fine art, these images can be sold in multiples which makes them Original Fine Art Prints. In the case of traditional artists a giclee is a Reproduction Print, meaning it is a copy of an original Fine Artwork or a copy of a traditional Original Fine Art Print (woodcut, etching, etc).
Green prints are color laser print outs. They are labeled as green because they are better for the environment as laser toner is a dry process and doesn't add ink or solvent wastes to our water systems. You are limited in the size though as the largest color laser print or color photocopy I can find is on 11" x 17" glossy or matte cardstock. Giclee and Green Prints |
